In our most recent lecture we started to discuss the implications of Tax Incentives on corporate behavior. Changes in taxes can be a significant expense for a corporation when you consider the amount of money that travels through businesses. Who owns you? revisited

In both Economics courses we have started (or will soon start) discussions about the positive and negative implications of enforcing patents and property rights. Below is a "60 Minutes" segment on a company that "owns" breast cancer, and thus everyone with the disease.
Property Rights have become a very controversial topic lately, especially when Intellectual Property Rights are considered. Here is an article outlining the argument of Stanford v. Roche, a case about ownership of an HIV vaccine discovered by a Stanford University professor.
College Sport fans may find this issue interesting, especially given that the College Football season is right around the corner, as is the release of replica jerseys, t-shirts and video games.
