Anthropology

Anthropology is the study of humans.   Obviously, that is a rather large topic, so it is usually divided into various subfields.  Traditionally, the four major subfields are Cultural Anthropology, Physical (or Biological) Anthropology, Archaeology and Linguistics.  My own background is probably strongest in physical anthropology, but I am interested in all the subfields, and consider myself a "four-field" anthropologist.  Many now consider applied anthropology to be a fifth major subfield, but I prefer to think of applied anthropology as a subset of the other subfields.
