# Project 1: Limits

## Instructions

Use Winplot and Google Docs to create a document with four problems on it. Make sure you use the equation feature of Google Docs to properly format the mathematical content.

## Problem 1: Finding Limits from the Graph

This is similar to problems 1.3.3-5. Create a graph and then ask the reader to find limits based off the graph.

## Problem 2: Finding a Graph with the Indicated Limits

This is similar to problems 1.3.7-10. Create a problem with the indicated limits. Then, in the answer key, provide a graph that would satisfy the conditions (note that there are many possible answers).

## Problem 3: Combinations of Functions

This is similar to problem 1.4.2. Create two graphs, one of the function f and one of the function g. Then ask questions involving limits of combinations of the functions that can be answered from the graphs.

## Problem 4: Infinite Limits

This is similar to problems 1.6.3-8 and to problem 2 on this project. The difference is that now the limits involve infinity. Create a problem with the indicated limits. Then, in the answer key, provide a graph that would satisfy the conditions (note that there are many possible answers).

## Notes

• Add your names at the top of the document under the title.
• Include instructions with each of the problems; don't just create a graph or describe the graph.
• Include an answer key at the end of the document. Questions 2 and 4 will have many possible answers, include one of them in the answer key.

## Submitting the Assignment

Once you are done with the assignment, share it with the instructor. Only one person per group needs to submit the assignment, just make sure your names are all in the document itself.

1. Click the blue "Share" button in Google Docs
2. In the "Invite People" box, put in james@richland.edu
3. Change the permissions from "Can edit" to "Can comment"
4. Leave the box checked to notify people via email (This is important or I won't know that you've turned it in).
5. Click on the "Add message" box and let me know what you're sending and the names of the people in your group.
6. Click "Send"
