Homework out of the book is not collected for a grade. However, many of the problems on the exams come straight out of the "Exercises A" problems in the book. For this reason, I strongly urge you to work as many of the "A" problems as possible. When a problem out of the "Exercises B" needs looked at, the instructor will point this out in class.
There are laboratory exercises for each chapter which will be collected and graded. We will go over the material in the lab exercises before the exam because it will be covered on the exam. The actual exercises will be collected and graded on the day of the examination over the related material.
Each chapter in the Lab Manual will be worth 10 points.
