This document contains a list of suggested textbook problems for Math 230 – Differential Equations.
Homework serves as practice to help ensure you understand the material. People don't become experts by watching someone else do it, they need to do it themselves. The homework is not assessed directly as part of your grade, but it will help you do better on the exams, which often feature problems similar to those in the text.
Each homework problem should be worked and then checked using the answers in the book. Not all answers will be in the textbook, so you may need to ask the instructor, look in the wiki, trust your instincts, or ask other students for the correct answer. You may also benefit from websites that provide worked out solutions like Slader, but remember that most solutions are provided by students and some may not be correct.
You may want to include excerpts from your homework in your portfolio – especially if they are part of your image gallery or source code repository.
